Finance Manager, North America Sales Finance

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced finance leader to join its North America Sales Finance team to support the Financial Services business. This role will work closely with business and finance stakeholders to support and drive one of the largest North America businesses in AWS. The candidate will analyze and forecast topline trends, deep‑diving variances to uncover operating insights, collaborate on strategic investment decisions to optimize financial returns, establish and enhance governance mechanisms, and drive planning and forecasting rhythms.

The successful candidate functions as a CFO for the Financial Services business, delivering insight, recommendation, and business impact that shapes decisions before they are made. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and the capacity to prioritize effectively while dealing with ambiguity are essential.

• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders on revenue and strategy investment decisions that balance growth objectives with financial returns.
• Serve as a strategic business partner to sales leaders by pairing financial analysis with clear recommendations and articulated business impact that shape business strategy.
• Invent and design scalable, detailed reporting to monitor the business and financial health.
• Deep dive into drivers of monthly and quarterly variances in revenue and expense metrics and provide key insights to business stakeholders to inform operating strategies.
• Own planning and forecasting for the NAMER Financial Services business and influence business stakeholders to ensure initiatives are aligned with broader organizational objectives.
• Perform ad‑hoc analyses to help business leaders solve complex problems and understand financial implications.

• 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making.
• 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or a Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of quantitative experience (engineering, process re‑engineering, quality assurance).

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining root causes, and implementing escalation plans.
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven business impact (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpreting results.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA or certification such as a CPA.
• Experience with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Base salary ranges by location:

• USA, NY, New York – $ – $ USD annually
• USA, VA, Arlington – $95,400.00 – $ USD annually
• USA, WA, Seattle – $95,400.00 – $ USD annually

The base salary range for this position is listed above. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
