Retail Banker II
Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States of America
Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay: $24.75 – $34.00 USD per hour (subject to candidate experience, skill level and business needs)
The Retail Banker II is a customer liaison who delivers TD’s Brand promise by providing financial expertise and consultative advice. The role focuses on building relationships, recommending solutions, and driving customer satisfaction and sales in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the subject‑matter expert on TD’s personal and business banking products, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct product recommendations based on customers’ needs and life events.
- Build and nurture customer relationships through active listening and proactive outreach.
- Utilize Customer Relationship Management tools to identify and promote solutions and lead‑focused outbound sales activities.
- Resolve customer issues and errors independently, escalating only when necessary.
- Evaluate and solve problems using established precedents or procedures.
- Participate in customer outreach and advisory activities to deliver exceptional service.
- Perform teller transactions (check cashing, deposits, transfers, withdrawals) upon hire and maintain vigilance for fraud mitigation.
- Effectively communicate complex information to team members and customers alike.
- Provide community financial education, including class facilitation and notary services when required.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate’s Degree preferred. - Minimum 2 years of customer-facing or sales experience (Teller experience is preferred).
- Cross‑training to handle customer transactions upon hire.
- Active NMLS registration required.
- Notary License preferred.
