Defense Financial Manager

Overview

Lynch Consultants seeks a Defense Financial Manager in the National Capital Region to join our team. This is a career‑launch role within the firm’s Defense Finance Practice. We are seeking proven military financial managers to continue their career as a professional consultant. The successful candidates will leverage proven FM skills and knowledge to assist our Military Service and Defense Agency Clients.

You will have the opportunity to demonstrate technical expertise, directly engage with key Civilian and Military Partners, and realize unlimited upward career growth.

Up to $89,000/yr commensurate with experience.

The work is onsite 5 days/week at our headquarters in Arlington, VA or on client site in the National Capital Region.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management related field.
• 4-6+ years of Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in a financial role such as Accounting, Budget, Payroll, Audit, Financial Analyst, etc.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Located or willing to relocate to the National Capital Region (DC, Virginia, Maryland).

• DoD / Intelligence community financial management experience.
• DoD FM Certification level 1 or higher.
• One of the following certifications is highly desired: CPA, CIA, CFE, CFGM, and/or CDFM.

• You will interact directly with government personnel concerning financial management issues.
• You will demonstrate technical expertise to address client needs and provide COAs to address emerging financial risks and issues.
• Ideal candidates are self‑motivated, proactive, and enjoy working within a small group to achieve quantifiable results.
