Duties
As a part of your typical work assignments, you may include:
- Oversees and manages work operations for staff accountants and analysts by developing strategic goals and objectives necessary to track, monitor, and account for financial resources throughout the agency.
- Develops program policies, procedures, and evaluation methods to foster continuous improvement practices for DEA.
- Develops recommendations for improving fiscal management and achieving efficiencies for implementation across DEA.
- Ensures that accounting procedures are compatible with policy and working properly in the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS) and related reporting systems; certifies that accounting systems capture required transactional data; and evaluates systems reporting capabilities to determine if they are effective in providing information necessary for financial planning, programming, and analysis.
