Position: SENIOR INSPECTIONS SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties
* Plans, develops, organizes, and coordinates the Special Access Program (SAP) security inspection and assessment activities and serves as SAP Security inspection Technical Advisor to The Inspector General (TIG) and Secretary of the Air Force (SECAF).
* Serves as Chief Inspector/Team Chief for the execution of Department of the Air Force Wide SAP Inspections.
* Technical Expert and Consultant to TIG, SECAF and Senior Department of the Air Force (DAF) leaders on SAP enterprise inspection Issues. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
* Work may require 25% or more travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays.
* The incumbent must obtain, maintain, and use a government travel card.
* May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours.
* This position may be eligible for telework on a situational or ad hoc basis to be determined by activity where the position is filled.
* This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

* Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security As of Jul 2024 Program Integration Professional Certification (SPIPC) conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or - (cont'd) * (Cont'd) - initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification and AFI 36-2645, Security Professional Certification and Development.

* The duties of this position meet all requirements as a category 4 designation and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively. This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and cannot become a member of the Ready Reserve. (IAW: DoDD 1200.7, "Screening the Ready Reserve,")
* This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
