Overview
Irregular Warfare Analyst, Senior – As an irregular warfare policy advisor, you will work in a fast‑paced environment supporting executive‑level audiences and high‑performing teams.
Responsibilities- Draft materials for senior executive leadership, including read‑aheads and talking points for bilateral and multilateral international policy engagements.
- Plan and conduct experimentation such as wargame or exercise planning.
- Serve as lead action officer for trips accompanying senior leaders for international or domestic engagements.
- Prepare and brief senior civilian and uniformed military leaders for their engagements.
- Support Congressional engagements and advise executives on significant security cooperation initiatives.
- 3+ years of experience with OUSD‑Policy, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and Theater Special Operations Commands.
- Experience drafting materials for senior executive leadership, including read‑aheads and talking points.
- Experience with experimentation such as wargame or exercise planning.
- Knowledge of OUSD‑Policy and Joint Staff processes and culture.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience preparing and briefing senior civilian and uniformed leaders.
- Experience as lead action officer for senior‑leader trips.
- Experience supporting Congressional engagements.
- Experience working with Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC).
- Knowledge of DOD‑level planning processes.
- Master’s degree in International Relations or Political Science.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

CompensationThe projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). Salary is determined by factors such as location, education, skills, and experience.
