Duties
Works under the direction and guidance of the Office Chief NGB-J3, in executing the operations and activities of the continuity program management office and Emergency Action Cell (EAC).
Conducts NGB EA assessment and interprets and analyzes assessment results.
Serves as the central point for NGB Emergency Action Center Nuclear, Command, Control, and Communications (NC3).
Analyzes and optimizes the CNGB EAC training program.

Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
The incumbent is subject to short or no-notice recall to duty for emergency situations or exercise.
May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively.
May require occasional travel to relocation and /or training sites. During National Emergency this position may be required to deploy up to, or beyond 60 consecutive days.
The duties of this position meet all requirements as a category 4 designation, and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing;
the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively. This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and cannot become a member of the Ready Reserve. (IAW: DoDD 1200.7, "Screening the Ready Reserve,")
Position may perform other related duties as assigned. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. Category II /Type 5 (Code O )
Special Sensitive:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays.
This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
Qualifications
This position may be designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of this position may be locally determined to be essential to accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available.

EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of the policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to National Continuity Policy, National Leadership Command Capability, &Strategic Command, Control & Communications; knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation and Interagency organizations to provide command level staff guidance and/or National Continuity Policy, National Leadership Command Capability, & Strategic Command, Control & Communications;
