Job Description Reporting to the Vice President for International Programs & Policy on the Global Programs & Policy (GPP) - 21st Century Security Team, this position is responsible for supporting the international trade and supply chain policy portfolio, including Foreign Military Sales and defense trade; regulatory and policy issues related to international security cooperation and export controls; international localization, investment, and financing;
and international trade agreements, treaties, tariffs, and sanctions. These activities support LMGA's external advocacy efforts and internal planning, strategic, and reporting functions. The position also includes responsibilities for supporting cross-cutting LMGA initiatives that involve both international and domestic policy issues and will require frequent interaction with U.S. Government customers and stakeholders, including the Departments of State, Defense, and Commerce and other executive branch organizations, and LM employees and executives at varying levels of seniority.
Other responsibilities include working with trade associations, consultants, and third-party organizations as necessary. This position is best suited for a candidate with experience supporting strategic and operational government affairs initiatives and knowledge of Lockheed Martin's international program priorities and supply chain issues as well as experience leading, managing, and supporting advocacy campaigns and analyses on complex and sensitive programs and policy issues.
Basic Qualifications 1. 10+ years of relevant professional experience
2. Extensive knowledge and experience in U.S. Government national security and foreign policy, international security cooperation, and defense export-related issues, ideally from a regulatory or policy-making perspective.
3. Prior experience interacting with U.S. Government officials and stakeholders, including, but not limited to, the Department of Defense, the Department of State, Department of Commerce.
4. Ability to work collaboratively across the Government Affairs organization, corporate business areas, and the external customer set 5. Efficient and effective planning and organizational skills, including extraordinary attention to detail.
6. Exceptional written communication and presentation development skills with proven experience supporting senior-level leaders. Desired Skills
1. Prior experience and/or familiarity working with external customers
2. Prior experience with export and trade policy, international business development, industrial participation, and/or government affairs engagement and strategic campaigns
3. Familiarity with export controls, defense offsets and industrial participation, and/or international supply chain challenges
4. Experience supporting U.S. government international advocacy
5. Experience working with external consultants, experts, and/or thought leaders involved in influencing national security and foreign policy

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
