Duties - Leads sustainment and enhancement of the AF Targeting Enterprise. Serves as AF/A2's leading targeting authority and recognized as a leading targeting authority within the AF, Department of War (DoW), and Intelligence Community (IC).
- Serves as the Senior USAF representative for Targeting policy, programs, processes and challenges in Service, Joint, DoW and IC forums. Leads or participates as a subject matter authority in forums focused on multi-domain targeting operations, ensuring seamless integration of air, space, cyberspace, and electromagnetic warfare effects into Joint Force plans and operations.
- Manages, plans, and directs integration of AF Targeting into current and future planning efforts consistent with AF ISR support to operational and strategic requirements and missions.
- Develops briefings for senior leaders including GO/FO, SES and political appointees. Prepares background papers, and staff packages for delivery to AF Directorates, MAJCOM staffs, Joint and IC organizations, defining and defending AF ISR positions on critical Targeting programs and challenges. 36-202, dated 19 Aug 2019 for guidance). Qualifications This is a GG-15 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-15 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Expert" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-15 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: comprehensive knowledge and understanding of AF ISR planning, employment, execution, and operational assessment, with specific mastery of the Joint Targeting Cycle and its impact on Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) for air, naval, ground, space and cyber operations.
Expert knowledge of AF and Joint targeting doctrine, targeting-associated tactics, techniques, procedures, targeting-related information and automation systems and software, and the role of intelligence capabilities in supporting air and joint/combined campaign planning, execution, and assessment. Expert knowledge and understanding of US Intelligence Community and AF policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research planning, operations collection, target analysis ,and other intelligence collection related activities.
Expert knowledge of geospatial intelligence, SIGINT, information warfare, and all-source intelligence analysis and tradecraft and production. Expert knowledge of advanced management and organizational principles and practices. Knowledge of study methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
