Duties The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as the Senior Data Officer responsible for data management for knowledge-based systems supporting DCS Strategy, Integration, and Requirements (AF/A57). Duties:
* Interfaces, liaises, and fosters relationships with principal contributors of enterprise-level data management; e.g., SAF/CO, MAJCOMs, academia, and industry; ensuring sufficient coordination between AF/A57 and government and private entities.
* Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
* Assists with integration of advanced data concepts & solutions within AF/A5.
* Supports completion of objectives and tasks related to AF/A57 data processes.
* Supports completion of objectives and tasks related to AF/A57 data applications and tools. Requirements Conditions of employment

* May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours. Qualifications Conditions of Employment:
* This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug testing. This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs, and (b) if requested, submit to the urinalysis testing.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series 0301. SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes extensive knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of Air Force level digital environments and platforms, including collaborative tools, information systems, and data and knowledge management applications.
Knowledge of Air Force level goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key events and milestones pertaining to the Air Force data strategy, and methods of evaluating the utility of government and commercial solutions. Knowledge of the relationship of the various Air Force entities involved in overall planning, deployment, and sustainment of digital solutions. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE,
