- Support the development, review, and coordination of telecommunications-related policies aligned with Department of War objectives and national security directives
- Ensure policies are clear, fact-based, and consistent with external guidance, including DoW guidance and Executive Orders
- Analyze internal and external telecommunications documents to assess DoW policy impacts, conflicts, and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare reports, briefs, and presentations for leadership and decision-makers on telecommunications policy issues, compliance status, and strategic recommendations
- Translate technical findings into actionable policy recommendations for non-technical audiences
- Support the Department of War Chief Information Officer (CIO)
- Research, analyze, and develop policy recommendations related to spectrum management, satellite communications, emerging telecommunication technologies, and governance
- SECRET level security clearance required
- LEVEL 2: 2 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 0 years experience with a Master's degree in a related field
- LEVEL 3: 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 3 years relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field
- LEVEL 4: 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 7 years relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field
- Analytical and research skills to evaluate policy impacts and trade-offs
- Ability to communicate complex technical and policy issues clearly to diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with DoW spectrum/space policy and initiatives
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Collaborative team player willing and eager to learn
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment
- TS/SCI preferred
- Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances
Demonstrates expertise in telecommunications policy development, analysis, and strategic recommendations, with a strong ability to communicate complex technical issues to diverse stakeholders. Holds a SECRET level security clearance and possesses relevant experience in spectrum management and satellite communications.
