Job Description

The Medical Stroke Unit (6A) is a 21-bed unit with all private rooms dedicated to caring for adult patients with acute and complex stroke-related conditions. This high-performing team recently achieved Certified Primary Stroke Center designation from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association and Advanced Primary Stroke Center recognition from The Joint Commission, reflecting a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient outcomes.

What truly sets 6A apart is the elevated level of care provided by Telemetry Class I–certified nurses who manage a wide range of patient acuities. Nurses on this unit gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while being supported by engaged leadership that prioritizes teamwork, work-life balance, and professional growth.
