As Sommelier
, you will play an important role in bringing to life an exceptional wine program that reflects the hotel's ultra-luxury positioning, culinary vision, and commitment to personalized guest experiences. With a strong presence on the floor, you will serve as a trusted wine expert for our guests, providing thoughtful and personalized recommendations based on individual preferences, while creating memorable experiences through engaging storytelling, intuitive service, and exceptional product knowledge.

Grounded in our Purpose to Care for People so they can be their Best , the Sommelier will bring this Purpose to life through meaningful connections with guests and colleagues and through the consistent delivery of the thoughtful, personalized experiences that define Park Hyatt.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Sommelier or wine professional within luxury hospitality or fine dining environments.
  • Strong knowledge of international and Mexican wines, including key regions, producers, grape varieties, vintages, and contemporary wine trends.
  • Recognized wine certification such as CMS, WSET, ASI, or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Luxury hotel and/or pre-opening experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with premium wines, wine service, cellar organization, inventory control, and stock management.
  • Strong guest engagement, communication, storytelling, and guided-selling skills.
  • Passion for sharing wine knowledge and developing colleagues through training and tastings.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of wine cost, pricing, inventory, revenue generation, and profitability.
