Human Resources Specialist

LHH is seeking a detail‑oriented and personable Human Resources Specialist to assist with leave and accommodations for our client in Arlington, VA. This role plays a key part in supporting employees with leave of absence and workplace accommodation needs while also assisting with select benefits and HR administrative tasks.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for leave of absence and workplace accommodation cases, ensuring professionalism and strict confidentiality.
• Support benefits‑related tasks and general HR administrative duties as needed.
• Manage incoming mail and ensure proper routing and follow‑through.
• Work independently with no requirement to train other team members.
• Build strong working relationships across the organization with excellent interpersonal communication.

• Ability to quickly learn and navigate internal HR and leave/accommodation processes.
• Strong Excel skills (critical for success in this role).
• Experience with Workday is a plus.
• HR background preferred, especially experience in leaves and accommodations.
• Highly personable, detail‑oriented, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
