Benefits Coordinator

LHH is seeking a temporary Benefits Coordinator to manage the full lifecycle of employee leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering excellent employee support. This is a temporary opportunity estimated for 3-4 months on-site in Arlington, VA. This role serves as the primary point of contact for leave-related matters and partners with HR, Payroll, managers, and third-party administrators to ensure smooth and timely leave processing.

• Administer end-to-end leave processes, including intake, eligibility review, required notices, documentation, tracking, and return-to-work coordination.
• Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, and company policies.
• Serve as liaison with third-party leave and disability administrators.
• Coordinate benefits continuation and payroll impacts during leave.
• Maintain accurate records in HRIS and ensure confidentiality.
• Advise employees and managers on leave options and requirements.
• Monitor legislative updates and support process improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of HR or benefits experience; leave administration experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of leave laws and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and handle sensitive information with discretion.
