Job Summary
Talent Wise LLC is building a pipeline of human resources professionals to support anticipated government contract awards with Arlington County, VA.
The Human Resources Administrative Specialist provides administrative and technical support for a wide range of HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and personnel administration. This role serves as a liaison between departments and the Human Resources function, ensuring compliance with policies and efficient processing of HR activities.
The position plays a key role in maintaining accurate HR records, supporting workforce operations, and providing guidance to staff on HR processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Support recruiting processes, including job postings, applicant tracking, and onboarding coordination
- Prepare offer letters, onboarding materials, and new hire documentation
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including orientation and exit processes
- Process and manage timekeeping and payroll activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Audit time records, track leave usage, and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Maintain personnel files and HR documentation in compliance with policies
- Process employee status changes, including pay adjustments, reclassifications, and assignments
- Provide guidance to staff on HR policies, procedures, and timelines
- Coordinate HR-related administrative activities such as benefits submissions and compliance forms
- Generate reports and provide data to support HR operations and decision-making
- Serve as liaison between department staff and central HR teams
- Assist with departmental events and administrative initiatives
- Some college coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- Considerable experience in human resources administration or related field
- Knowledge of HR processes, payroll, and administrative procedures
- Experience with HR systems (e.g., Neo Gov, PRISM, or similar platforms)
- Strong organizational and data management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
