Administrative Director/Administrative Manager
A growing 30-person government contracting firm in Arlington, VA is seeking an Administrative Manager to serve as the operational backbone of the organization. This is a highly cross-functional role for a candidate who can act as the connective tissue across departments, ideally with a recruiting or talent acquisition background, and who is well-suited to variety and high-visibility project work. This is an opportunity to take on a highly visible, impactful role at a firm in an active period of growth.
In office hours are flexible and open to Mon-Friday or Mon-Thur onsite/Friday's remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead new hire onboarding and serve as the primary point of contact for incoming employees
- Serve as liaison with external recruiting and staffing agencies on open requisitions
- Manage the firm's Linked In Recruiter profile and support candidate sourcing efforts
- Prepare and format resumes of key personnel to meet government proposal standards
- Manage the drafting, tracking, and collection of Letters of Intent (LOIs) for the proposal department
- Serve as a cross-departmental liaison to ensure alignment and clear communication
- Directly manage the Office Manager and oversee day-to-day office operations
- Lead ad hoc projects that support the firm's continued growth
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive administrative, operations, or office management experience
- Recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR-adjacent experience strongly preferred
- Government contracting industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong written communication skills and experience preparing polished, professional documents
- High degree of discretion and professionalism; comfortable representing the firm with candidates, vendors, and staff at all levels
- Prior experience managing or mentoring direct reports
