JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a NMCC High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse CCC Technician to support the Continuous Cyber Security posture within the National Military Command Center in Arlington, VA (Pentagon). The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites.

CERTIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
CompTIA Security+ CE or IAT Level II equivalent
SECURITY CLEARANCE: TS/SCI clearance
Responsibilities- Perform engineering for new circuit installations, modifications, and deactivations.
- Provide technical and operational support to end-user services, network expansions, and modernization of telecommunications backbone systems.
- Provide problem resolution for all hardware and software elements of the data communication circuits maintained by the work center to include Commercial and GFE owned networks.
- Provide outage and restoration information as required to include restore times.
- Ensure the availability of the circuits in coordination with other work centers as required.
- Perform status updates and circuit monitoring as needed.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Active DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+).
- Bachelor's degree, 2+ years' relevant experience;
Master's degree, 0 years of experience. No degree, 6 years' relevant and progressive experience. - Must have successful completion of technical training associated with operations and maintenance of a Tech Control Facility equivalent to that required for US military AFSC 3C2X1, MOS 31P, or EC2318.
- Communications-Computer Systems Control Technician or the equivalent civilian training and work experience in a similar civilian or military systems control facility.
- Successful completion of military/civilian communications electronics courses such as Radio Relay Maintenance, Computer Switching Systems Maintenance, and Cryptographic Maintenance along with operation experience associated with technical control or patch and test facility will be considered in lieu of formal technical controller training.
- Strong background and working knowledge of the DISA Operational Circulars.
- Background in maintenance of TCF equipment and excellent understanding of digital and analog test equipment. Multiplexers, modems, circuit maintenance, equipment and systems records, files, and diagrams.
- Familiar with various encryption devices, e.g. KG-84, KIV-7, KG-194, KG-95, KG-94, etc., including device substitution, key and re-keying.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Experience with technical control operating records such as circuit history folders, master station logs, trouble tickets, outage and restoration records, and DISA reports.
- Experience implementing and operating under the auspices of DoD exercise and communications operations contingency plans.
- Experience conducting performance/quality monitoring and testing, and trend analysis.
- Experience writing technical control operating procedures.
- Experience developing, testing, implementing and maintaining communications operations contingency, exercise and restoral plans.
- Experience with circuit restoration, fault isolation, quality control testing, trend analysis, performance monitoring, and status reporting.
