Overview
iTech AG is seeking a Senior Service Now Developer to support a federal program by designing, developing, and enhancing Service Now solutions in a secure, scalable, and compliant environment. This role serves as a senior technical contributor responsible for building high-quality platform functionality, developing user-facing portals, and supporting core Service Now capabilities aligned to mission and business needs.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands‑on Service Now development experience, deep familiarity with portal technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively within Agile and SAFe delivery environments. This role requires a developer who can translate requirements into maintainable, performant Service Now solutions while adhering to federal standards and best practices.
Roles and Responsibilities- Design, develop, and configure Service Now solutions to support federal program requirements
- Build and maintain custom applications, workflows, business rules, and UI policies
- Develop and enhance Service Now ITSM and/or CSM functionality
- Design, develop, and support Service Now portals and web‑based user experiences, including Service Portal and/or UI Builder
- Collaborate with Service Now Architects to implement scalable, standards‑based solutions
- Participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
- Support platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
- Troubleshoot and resolve Service Now defects and production issues
- Ensure configurations and customizations align with federal security and compliance requirements
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team
- Support and enhance CSM knowledge enablement through Knowledge Base integration, taxonomy improvements, and self‑service experience optimizations
- Other duties as assigned
- 5+ years of hands‑on Service Now development experience
- Strong experience developing custom Service Now applications and platform configurations
- Hands‑on experience with Service Now portal development (Service Portal and/or UI Builder)
- Proficiency with Service Now scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs)
- Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments
- Bachelor’s degree
- Service Now CSA
- Service Now CAD
- Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS):
- CIS – IT Service Management (ITSM) or
- CIS – Customer Service Management (CSM)
- Experience supporting federal government programs
- Strong experience with Service Portal, UI Builder, and user experience design
- Experience configuring ITSM and/or CSM modules
- Familiarity with Service Now data model and performance optimization
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience supporting Dev Sec Ops ‑aligned Agile teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
