Position OverviewSpecial Operations Support Policy Staff Officer II will provide critical support to the HUMINT & Sensitive Activities Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)). This role involves supporting the oversight, management, and development of policies related to sensitive activities and special operations.

Job Responsibilities And/or Success Factors Policy Development and Coordination- Support the oversight, management, and coordination of complex sensitive programs and activities.
- Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating the development of policies related to sensitive activities and support for issues requiring short notice information and decision support for DoD senior leaders.
- Gather, synthesize, and prepare background information and read-ahead materials for issues and engagements regarding intelligence and intelligence‑related policy, program, and activity support to special operations, including counter terrorism and irregular warfare.
- Support the development, review, and revision of strategy and policy direction for the coordination, assessment, reporting, and conduct of sensitive activities.
- Assist in implementing solutions that aid in decision‑making processes related to special operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Special Operations Forces and/or clandestine operations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with developing policy and providing recommendations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high‑stakes environment and manage multiple priorities.
