Overview
Nakupuna Consulting is seeking an Agile Delivery Lead (ADL) to provide oversight of product lifecycle activities, software delivery, and team leadership supporting the execution of a multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP). The ideal candidate for this role is self-directed, takes ownership of and accountability for their team, and has a technical background in DoD/DoW work and People Soft Payroll.
The ADL is responsible for coaching an Agile Team and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of products and/or services using various Agile frameworks and methods, such as Scrum and Kanban. The ADL takes a holistic view of development and is accountable for successful product delivery and the results of the Agile Team. The ADL is someone who can tackle the technical aspects of the Agile Team such as the configuration and maintenance of analytical tools and dashboards for reporting product quality, speed of delivery, and team performance.
The ADL assists in writing and updating technical documentation and is an active participant in architecture, design, and code reviews. The ADL possesses a solid grasp of the entire product development life cycle, from initial concept and requirements elicitation all the way through deployment and customer acceptance.
This role reports to the AMP Release Train Engineer and collaborates with our client, software architects, senior leadership as well as junior team members. Ideal candidates have excellent communication and facilitation skills to produce and deliver essential reports and artifacts to senior leadership as necessary.
Responsibilities- Coaching Agile Teams: coach the Team on Agile practices, troubleshoot issues, remove impediments, and mentor junior team members.
- Enabling Alignment: facilitate alignment on priorities and progress by coordinating key events such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Retrospectives and Reviews, promoting collaboration and transparency across the Agile Team.
- Removing Impediments: empower to remove impediments, resolve escalated issues and keep the Agile Team productive.
- Overseeing End-to-End Flow: track dependencies and work in progress, identify and address bottlenecks in flow.
- Improving Technical Practices: drive technical excellence by assessing solutions and practices to guide engineering teams on quality, architecture, automation, and Dev Ops.
- Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with 7 or more years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC and/or private sector preferred. People Soft, Workday, or other ERP experience a plus. - Skills/
Qualifications:
Certifications in CSM, PSM, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred. - Clearance Requirements:
This position requires a current Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. - Work Location:
Arlington, Virginia. Occasional travel may be required. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers; engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations; sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
