Elder Research Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MANTECH international Corporation seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Scientist. The Data Scientist will contribute to the design and implementation of advanced statistical and AI/ML solutions aimed at extracting actionable insights, assessing model performance, and applying semantic analysis techniques to improve product safety decision-making. This role emphasizes innovation, efficiency, and interpretability within modern cloud data environments, supporting strategic acceleration toward an AI-powered product safety Sentinel model that uses analytics to reduce time to intervention and protect more consumers from a broader range of hazards, faster.

• Insight Extraction & Semantic Analysis:
  • Leverage semantic vibe coding efficiencies to uncover patterns and thematic insights from structured and unstructured data, and translate complex datasets into clear, actionable narratives through data storytelling and visualization.
• Design, implement, and maintain AI techniques (e.g., product similarity) and predictive models (supervised and unsupervised) for anomaly detection, classification, regression, and pattern recognition, and perform rigorous evaluation using precision, recall, F1-score, AUC, and other metrics to ensure reliability and fairness.
• Apply an innovative mindset by exploring emerging technologies, creative solutions, and novel methodologies, leveraging modern tools and frameworks (e.g., Git Hub Copilot, automated pipelines, CI/CD) to streamline development, deployment, and optimize workflows for scalable cloud environments (Azure).

• Statistical and AI/ML Modeling Expertise:
  • 3+ years designing, developing, and deploying statistical and AI/ML models擁ncluding regression, classification, NLP, and other predictive analytics approaches蓉sing leading-edge tools and best practices.

  • Hands-on Python experience (Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/Tensor Flow) with 3+ years in cloud environments (Azure; certifications a plus) and 2+ years using SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Proficient with dashboard/visualization tools (Power BI or equivalent) and integrating semantic coding techniques into ML workflows.
• Strong oral and written communication for data storytelling, with experience in Git-based version control and collaborative development.
• Effective Agile team contributor, supporting iterative development, shared problem-solving, and continuous improvement to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Ph.D. or equivalent professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Current Public Trust Desired
• Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position
