Senior Technical Business Analyst

Job Description

Senior Technical Business Analyst at CoStar Group – a global provider of commercial and residential real estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces.

Location:

Arlington, VA – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.

• Understand CoStar's business, product goals, and industry context.
• Translate the product team’s vision into user stories, clear specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain direct communication channels with developers, management, and Product Design.
• Lead stakeholder and grooming meetings to update project progress.
• Document user requirements and business rules for application development.
• Define end‑to‑end test cases and coordinate with QA to ensure comprehensive testing.
• Triage and resolve issues raised by internal and external groups.
• Analyze application and usage data to improve products and customer experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of product, systems, or business analysis experience.
• Strong self‑direction and ability to drive outcomes with minimal supervision.
• Experience documenting detailed product requirements for multiple development teams.
• Agile/Scrum experience.

• Basic SQL database knowledge.
• 4+ years of Product Owner experience.
• Experience documenting API requirements.
• Advanced Excel knowledge.
• Experience with process/architecture diagram tools such as Visio.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
