Position: Principal, Remarketing/Redeployment, Fleet Planning and Capacity (FPAC)

Description

Do you want to be part of the team that’s driving innovation and efficiency in Amazon’s Last Mile fleet team? The Fleet Planning and Capacity (FPAC) team is seeking a motivated Principal to be a core member of the leadership team. This position will lead the end‑to‑end strategy and implementation for vehicle remarketing and key redeployment functions across Amazon’s U.S. and Canadian delivery fleet.

You will work with executive leaders both internally and externally. You will collaborate across key internal teams including operations, finance, technology, and planning. You will define the strategy, develop roadmaps and action plans, and drive implementation. You will be the external face of FPAC with carriers, fleet management companies, and other partners, fostering relationships to implement strategic initiatives. You’ll work to develop your team in a fast‑paced environment and will be required to lead not only at the strategic level but also manage tactically day‑to‑day activities by diving deeply into business and technical domains.

  • End‑to‑end ownership of the fleet deployment and optimization strategy, from idea generation to implementation
  • Communicate and collaborate cross‑functionally across multiple teams in operations, finance, technology, and planning to define strategic roadmaps

  • Thrive in ambiguity and drive innovation in fleet management practices

About the team

The FPAC team manages transportation and vehicle readiness for Amazon’s U.S. and Canadian delivery fleet (AMZL, AMXL, and RSR). Our mission is to deliver safe, road‑ready vehicles on time while optimizing costs. We drive initiatives across capacity solutions, efficiency improvements, and long‑term scalability to support Amazon’s growing delivery network.

Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of working cross‑functionally with tech and non‑tech teams experience
  • 7+ years of program or project management experience
  • 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 7+ years of working cross‑functionally across several teams experience
  • 10+ years of supply chain experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
