In this role, you'll be both the guardian and the builder — ensuring every GenAIIC engagement meets AWS' security bar while also delivering secure GenAI solutions directly to customers.

We are seeking a GenAI Security Consultant to serve as both engagement security leader and hands-on security practitioner across the full spectrum of GenAIIC delivery. You'll conduct security assessments and reviews for engagements globally, then step into those same engagements as a billable consultant, architect, and builder. From Proof of Concepts to Forward Deployed Engineering to traditional Pro Serve consulting, you'll be the security expert who ensures we deliver at the AWS security bar while driving customer outcomes.

In the GenAI Innovation Center, we deliver transformative GenAI solutions through multiple delivery models — POCs, innovations, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), and Pro Serve consulting. Security excellence must span all of these, and it requires someone who can operate at multiple altitudes — governance and oversight one moment, writing secure code the next.

You will be the security expert who ensures GenAIIC delivers securely  responsibilities include:

• Conduct security assessments, architecture reviews, and compliance evaluations across GenAIIC engagements globally, ensuring every delivery meets AWS security standards before, during, and after customer work
• Embed as a billable security consultant within customer engagements across POCs, innovations, FDE, and Pro Serve delivery models, providing hands-on security architecture, implementation, and guidance
• Hold and enforce the AWS security bar across diverse engagement types and customer contexts, translating security requirements into practical, deployable solutions
• Partner with internal delivery teams, AWS Security, Pro Serve Security, and third-party partners to architect and implement security controls that are both rigorous and pragmatic
• Build reusable security patterns, accelerators, and reference architectures based on real engagement experience that scale your impact across the practice

This role sits at the intersection of governance and delivery, giving you visibility and influence across the entire GenAIIC portfolio. You’ll have the unique opportunity to:

• Shape security standards and practices for GenAIIC engagements through your oversight role, then validate and refine those standards through hands-on delivery
• Work across the full spectrum of GenAIIC delivery models, building expertise in POC security, innovation prototyping, forward-deployed engineering, and traditional consulting
• Deliver billable consulting services that directly impact customer success while also driving the security posture of the broader GenAIIC practice
• Build a reputation as a security expert who can navigate complex governance requirements and deliver production-ready solutions under pressure
