IT Consultant, Technical Writer
The work
- The writing of technical documentation for Information Security, with a focus on policies, security standards, procedures, and deployments.
- Providing functional and technical writing support for resolving internal program inquiries.
- Liaising with team members and subject matter experts to answer questions, clarify issues, and ensure proper documentation, notification, escalation, tracking, and follow‑up.
- Creating original documents and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Developing, reviewing, and editing documentation for technical IT products, policies, security standards, processes, and deployments.
- Conducting research, data analysis, and creating reports.
- Communicating with engineers, subject matter experts, and teammates to identify processes, document them, and publish procedures.
- Taking responsibility for the completion and accuracy of all work products.
- Conveying technical details clearly to a range of audiences, both in writing and verbally.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- 2+ years of technical writing experience.
- Strong proficiency in the English language.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a desire to be involved.
- Ability to manage time effectively while balancing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Desire to learn new skills.
- Deep interest in cyber and security challenges in information technology.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Business, or Risk Management (or equivalent experience).
Compensation for this role in the following states is based on labor costs and ranges from $91,300 to $184,500 USD.
