Incident Manager III Arlington, VA Support mission-critical cybersecurity operations for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by coordinating incident response and ensuring operational continuity in high-responsibility environments. As an Incident Manager III supporting DHS, you play a central role in coordinating response efforts, prioritizing threats, and ensuring incidents are handled with clarity and discipline. What You Will Do You will support cyber incident management and operations by:
* Managing cyber incidents across the full incident response lifecycle
* Maintaining accurate and timely reporting within case management and ticketing systems
* Coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to drive response efforts
* Ingesting, validating, and analyzing information to determine appropriate courses of action
* Tracking and updating incidents with consistency, accuracy, and reliability
* Drafting summaries and reports and delivering briefings to leadership
* Maintaining knowledge records and documentation within systems of record
* Supporting risk-based prioritization of incidents using national-level frameworks such as NCISS
* Assisting in threat and vulnerability analysis, including identification of threat actors and attack patterns
* Supporting teams engaged in network monitoring, security operations analysis, and system hardening

Required Qualifications
* Active TS/SCI clearance
* Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
* 5 or more years of experience in cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations
* Strong understanding of incident response methodologies and lifecycle management
* Familiarity with NIST 800-62 and FISMA reporting requirements
* Knowledge of the NCCIC National Cyber Incident Scoring System for incident prioritization
* Understanding of cyber attack stages and adversary tactics
* Ability to recognize and categorize vulnerabilities and associated threats
* Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Incident Management, Operations Management, or related field
* Additional years of relevant experience in place of a degree
* Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat environments ranging from non-state to nation-state actors
* Knowledge of system and application vulnerabilities and exploit techniques
* Experience with operating system hardening and cyber defense policies and procedures
