Title: Platform Developer (Power Platform & Service Now)

Location: Arlington, VA (Remote with occasional onsite requirements in Arlington, VA)

The DOS ESDA Program supports the U.S. Department of State, Global Acquisitions (GA) on a high-visibility modernization initiative consolidating fragmented governance, sourcing, and platform support into a unified Integrated EDSA Governance & Shared Services Team. This program streamlines decision-making, enhances transparency, and accelerates technology delivery across Service Now, SharePoint, Power Platform, and procurement analytics.

The Platform Developer (Power Platform & Service Now) is a mid-level developer cross-trained across Power Platform, Service Now, and SharePoint. This role focuses on rapid application delivery and workflow automation — executing a high volume of tactical development tasks and building practical solutions that directly address day-to-day business needs.

• Application Development: Build and maintain Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Service Now catalog items and forms, and customized SharePoint lists and pages to meet business requirements.
• Workflow Automation: Develop and maintain Power Automate flows that streamline business processes, reduce manual work, and connect disparate enterprise systems.
• Platform Integration: Build and maintain API connections and data gateway integrations between Service Now, SharePoint, and external enterprise systems to ensure seamless, secure data flow.
• Backlog Execution: Work closely with senior engineers to execute sprint deliverables at pace, maintaining team delivery velocity during high-demand periods.

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3–5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development across one or more low-code/no-code platforms.
• Working proficiency building canvas and model-driven Power Apps, configuring Service Now modules, and managing SharePoint environments.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Power Automate connectors, and data gateway architecture.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• Full-stack development experience delivering web solutions using Python, modern JavaScript frameworks, and RESTful API integrations.
• Microsoft Certified:
  Power Platform App Maker Associate
• Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA)
