We are currently seeking a Communications Specialist to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute communication strategies to promote IT services and capabilities.
- Craft clear, concise, and engaging messaging aligned with organizational goals and values.
- Utilize diverse communication channels (email, newsletters, intranet, and more) to reach stakeholders effectively.
- Collaborate with IT teams and business units to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information.
- Provide mission awareness data and reporting to enhance stakeholder engagement and transparency.
- Identify gaps in communication processes and recommend improvements to templates, workflows, and messaging standards.
- Partner with government-appointed ICELs to track IT department requests and ensure timely follow‑up and resolution.
- Support communication flow between ICELs, IT teams, and leadership to maintain alignment and visibility into ongoing issues.
- Monitor and document escalations, ensuring they are routed appropriately and communicated clearly to stakeholders.
- Maintain organized records and status updates to help ICELs manage priorities and drive customer excellence across supported organizations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting the Communications role/responsibilities described above.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft strategic messaging.
- Ensures accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all communications and tracking activities.
- Skilled at working with cross‑functional teams, government stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent requests, deadlines, and communication flows.
- Experience supporting liaison or customer advocacy programs is a plus.
- Knowledge of ITIL principles and IT service management processes.
- Familiarity with performance metrics, customer satisfaction monitoring, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
