Oracle GoldenGate Administrator

Overview

Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI), a two-time USA Today Top Workplaces awardee and Washington Top Workplaces honoree, is seeking an Oracle Golden Gate Administrator to support our growing team. The ideal candidate will support the administration, sustainment, security, and continuous improvement of Oracle Golden Gate and related data-replication infrastructure for People Soft HCM in a secure, on-premises federal environment. This role requires strong platform administration, troubleshooting, scripting, and automation skills, along with experience operating in highly secure networks and mission-critical enterprise environments.

Work Location: Hybrid, On-site, Arlington, VA

• Administer, monitor, and sustain Oracle Golden Gate and related data replication infrastructure supporting People Soft HCM and connected enterprise systems in a secure, on-premises environment.
• Install, configure, patch, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle Golden Gate components, supporting servers, and Oracle-based platform dependencies across development, test, and production environments.
• Support core Oracle Golden Gate administration functions, including:
• Extract and Replicate configuration
• Trail file management
• Parameter file maintenance
• Checkpoint handling
• Process monitoring
• Platform access administration
• Develop and maintain shell scripts, automation utilities, runbooks, and SOPs to improve reliability, operational efficiency, and repeatability.
• Monitor system health, replication status, lag, logs, interfaces, and capacity; investigate incidents and coordinate timely resolution.
• Support change control processes, release readiness, audit activities, and environment promotions in compliance with security and operational requirements.
• Partner with application, database, middleware, infrastructure, and security teams to maintain replication services, troubleshoot issues, and ensure stable operations.
• Participate in system hardening, vulnerability remediation, contingency planning, backup and recovery, and sustainment activities in highly secured environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems administration, database platform support, or related roles.
• Oracle Golden Gate administration experience strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting on-premises Oracle and Solaris/UNIX environments, including monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, and operational support.
• Strong scripting and automation skills for operational support.
• Experience with Oracle Golden Gate, data replication, ETL/data movement, and batch/interface processing.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• Experience working in secured federal or DoD environments preferred.

• Familiarity with People Soft HCM architecture, interfaces, batch processing, and Oracle ecosystem data replication patterns.
• Experience with Oracle Golden Gate components, including Extract and Replicat processes, trail management, monitoring, performance tuning, and production sustainment.
• Knowledge of runbooks, SOPs, change management, backup and recovery, incident and problem management, and secure operational practices.
• Ability to collaborate across application, data, database, integration, security, and operations teams supporting mission-critical systems.

• Clearance:
  Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
