Network Designer (Network Design) – Senior Network Designer, BBST – Brazil, Boeing Brazil – Sao Jose Dos Campos office.
Hybrid / TelecommutingThis position is hybrid/telecommuting. Selected candidate will perform some on‑site work at the Sao Jose Dos Campos office, as determined by the hiring team.
Position Responsibilities- Design and implement scalable, high‑performance WAN and LAN solutions on both Cisco and Arista platforms.
- Architect network systems for large, complex organizational infrastructures with a focus on reliability and security.
- Plan, design and deploy MPLS networks and design systems that incorporate advanced QoS strategies and traffic‑shaping mechanisms.
- Implement and manage routing and switching technologies, particularly OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and BGP.
- Perform troubleshooting and optimization of WAN routing configurations across multiple locations.
- Apply relevant encryption standards for securing data traffic across wide‑area networks.
- Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including implementing VPN and SSL/TLS encryption protocols.
- Collaborate with IT security, technology fellow and stakeholders to align network architecture with business requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including topology diagrams, configuration guides and capacity‑planning documents.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior designers.
- Provide expert troubleshooting for LAN, WAN and DMZ network issues.
- Assist in incident resolution, root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in on‑call rotation schedule as needed to support out‑of‑hours and weekend coverage.
- Assist and help the team in managing and owning the ticket queue for L2 and L3 break/fix tickets to improve service restoration and metrics, as well as the GSEP design change request queue.
- Right to work in Brazil.
- Proficient in written and verbal English.
- Experience with LAN, WAN and DMZ.
- Experience with QoS, routing and switching protocols.
- Experience designing and implementing large‑scale network architectures, including complex routing and switching configurations.
- Experience with network security and practical experience implementing encryption standards such as IPSec, SSL and GTVPN.
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, Solar Winds, Net Flow).
- Experience with incident management.
- CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or equivalent certifications for Arista.
- Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible).
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to address complex network issues quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
Relocation assistance is not provided. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
This is a locally hired position in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. payroll.
Security clearance not required.
