Position is located in USA VA Arlington; a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Active TS/SCI required; active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired.
Responsibilities- Research and Analysis:
Conducting user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to understand user needs and behaviors. - Design and Prototyping:
Creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of user interfaces, ensuring they are intuitive and aligned with user expectations. - Usability Evaluation:
Evaluating the usability of designs through testing and feedback, identifying areas for improvement. - Collaboration:
Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to implement and refine designs. - Human Factors Integration:
Applying human factors principles (cognitive load, perception, motor skills) to design systems that are safe, efficient, and comfortable for users. - Documentation and Reporting:
Documenting design decisions, research findings, and usability test results.
- Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or 0 to 2 years of related experience. - Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI required; active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired. - UX/UI Design:
Proficiency in wire framing, prototyping, and visual design. - User Research:
Experience with user interviews, surveys, and usability testing. - Human Factors:
Knowledge of human capabilities, limitations, and cognitive processes. - Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Problem‑Solving:
Ability to identify and solve usability issues and propose creative solutions. - Technical
Skills:
Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Pen Pot, Adobe Creative Cloud) and basic coding skills.
A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $120,000 - $150,000.
