You act as the subject matter expert for our government client and bring the advanced technical expertise and customer service mindset needed to resolve issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.

* Service Now Workflow Migration:
Map, analyze, and translate legacy business workflows into Service Now, aligning them with Service Now's capabilities and best practices.
* Legacy Application Integration:
Work closely with business units to port functionality from a legacy application into Service Now, ensuring critical business logic and requirements are retained and optimized in the new system.
* Service Now Improvements:
Identify limitations or gaps in the current Service Now implementation and propose workflow-driven improvements or customizations to enhance efficiency and user experience across the organization.
* Database Management:
Manage backend databases supporting Service Now environments; maintain data integrity and optimize database performance.
* Data Migration & Queries:
Create and optimize SQL/T-SQL queries for reporting and data migration, ensure data quality during transitions, and troubleshoot data-related issues in Service Now contexts to support mission-critical operations. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
* Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (required).
* Required Experience:
At least 6 years of relevant experience in enterprise application support or development (migrating or supporting platforms like Service Now). Experience supporting modernization or digital transformation initiatives is a plus.
* Service Now Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of Service Now platform architecture and workflow design, including configuring forms, building custom workflows (Flow Designer), and understanding key Service Now modules.
* SQL
Skills:
Mid-level expertise in SQL and T-SQL for writing queries, creating stored procedures, and handling data migration tasks within enterprise databases.
* Scripting:
Proficiency in JavaScript for Service Now scripting (client scripts, business rules) and potential SharePoint customizations. Familiarity with other scripting or automation tools (such as Power Shell or Python) is a plus.
* On-Premises Environment:
Experience supporting and deploying applications in on-premises server environments, with understanding of maintenance, patching, and upgrade processes for locally hosted systems in secure or regulated environments.
* Certifications:
CompTIA Security+ required. Service Now certifications are a plus - for example, Service Now System Administrator/Developer certification.
* Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility.
* Desired
Experience:
SharePoint Expertise - Proficiency with SharePoint Server 2013 and 2019 (on-premises), including hands-on experience migrating from 2013 to 2019 and a deep understanding of the feature differences between versions to ensure seamless integration and user adoption.
