Agile Coach; Portfolio

Position: Agile Coach (Portfolio)
The SAFe/Agile Coach (Portfolio) will lead the implementation of agile and Dev Ops principles and best practices using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) as part of our customer's credentialing program. This credentialing program requires agile coaching professionals with deep knowledge of agile, broad experience, impartial perspective, true coaching skills, and reinforced learning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Lead the planning for agile transformation and coaching activities, including schedules and coaching implementation plans that incorporate the Coaches' approach of guidance, instruction, and direction provided to ensure implementation and sustainment of the Agile approach, and monthly status reports

* Review current business practices, principles and processes and conduct business gap analysis on programs to define current 'as-is' business practices and outline path toward 'to-be' agile practices to be formulated as recommendations for government implementation

* Assist program personnel in applying and adapting agile processes throughout the programs, identify and report risks and issues that constrain programs and agile teams from effectively and quickly delivering business value, and lead coaching meetings with branch and division managers to support business improvement practices within the organization. List the primary duties and responsibilities in order of importance

Minimum Qualifications /

Experience:

* Experience guiding organizations through agile transformation challenges using Scrum and SAFe

* Experience working with Executives on strategy and building the Portfolio Canvas

* Able to define Operational and Development Value Streams

* Experience setting up Lean Portfolio Management (Lean Governance, Portfolio Operations, Lean Budgeting)

* Experience defining Strategic Themes

* Must be able to work with Epic Owners and setting up Portfolio Kanbans, and defining exit criteria, working with Enterprise Architect and Epic Owners to develop Epic Roadmaps

* Experience in Public Sector Software Development programs, preferably SAP Implementations

* Experience in leadership coaching, organizational transformation, and Agile practices at the teams (Program and below) and at the enterprise level

* Experience as a hands-on organizational change agent working across multiple teams and organizational boundaries

* Experience assisting leadership and team members with removing barriers and embracing transformation by assisting each organization to customize its own path, approach and solutions to becoming Agile

* Experience launching agile teams and Agile Release Trains, building a Continuous Delivery Pipeline with Dev Ops culture, and empowering a Lean Portfolio

* Experience supporting and executing PI Planning events and coordinating multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs)

* Experience helping agile teams implement agile technical practices and continuous integration continuous deployment (CICD) tools and pipelines

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years' experience, or 10 years' experience with no degree

Certifications:

Scrum-certified by Scrum Alliance or Scrum.org

SAFe Certification

Other:

Must be US Citizen

Must have Active DoD Secret clearance or Ability to Obtain it

Willingness to be on-site daily
