Job Summary
The Content Management Specialist is responsible for maintaining, organizing, publishing, and enhancing digital content across the organization’s public websites (Drupal) and internal intranet platforms (SharePoint). This role ensures content accuracy, accessibility, compliance, and alignment with branding and communication standards. The specialist will collaborate regularly with stakeholders, technical teams, and communications staff to support timely updates, improve content quality, and optimize user experience.
Job Duties- Publish, update, and manage web and intranet content including text, images, documents, and multimedia.
- Maintain page accuracy, formatting consistency, and alignment with branding and accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).
- Manage Drupal content types, menus, taxonomies, and basic page layouts.
- Maintain SharePoint pages, document libraries, lists, and announcements.
- Conduct regular content audits to identify outdated or inaccurate materials.
- Coordinate with contributors, reviewers, and approvers to keep information current.
- Support content workflows, version control, and governance standards.
- Bachelor's degree, One-and-one- half (1.5) years of additional experience can substitute for one (1) year of a typical degree program.
- Minimum 6 years of experience with job duties listed above.
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting projects/efforts with a responsibility for managing content in Drupal and SharePoint Online.
- Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Familiarity with basic HTML and image optimization.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and digital content best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with content strategy, intranet governance, or digital communications.
- Familiarity with SEO, analytics tools, and/or UX principles.
