Description
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Service Now Developer with a solid background in software development. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in Service Now development and 5 years in software development. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing solutions on the Service Now platform to enhance customer service operations and streamline workflows.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design & Development:
Customize and configure the Service Now CSM module to meet business requirements.
Develop and implement custom applications and integrations within the Service Now platform.
Design and configure workflows, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts.
Implementation & Integration:
Implement end-to-end Service Now CSM solutions, including case management, service management, and knowledge management.
Integrate Service Now CSM with third-party applications and other Service Now modules.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Work closely with Service Now architects, administrators, and other development teams to ensure cohesive solutions.
Documentation & Compliance:
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test cases, and user guides.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and data privacy regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Service Now Developer, specifically with the Customer Service Management (CSM) module
A total of 5 years of software development experience with strong programming skills.
Proven track record of implementing Service Now solutions and customizing Service Now CSM functionalities.
Strong knowledge of Service Now platform capabilities, including scripting (JavaScript), UI customization, and Service Portal configuration.
Proficiency in Service Now development tools:
Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Scripted REST APIs, and Business Rules.
Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular
JS.
Knowledge of integrating Service Now with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Effective communication skills for stakeholder interactions.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Service Now Certified Systems Administrator (CSA)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Service Now Certified Application Developer
Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist - Any Module
Experience with other Service Now modules (ITSM, ITOM, ITBM) is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
