RoleThe Enterprise Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise architecture frameworks that support scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions. They will lead modernization and migration efforts for the enterprise Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) from IBM TRIRIGA to IBM Maximo Real Estate and Facilities (MREF).
Location:
Washington, D.C. (Hybrid - 2 days/week on-site). Clearance requirements: USA Citizenship required and must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation.
- Target Architecture & Containerization Strategy: design, validate, and implement the target MREF infrastructure topology. architect the shift from traditional server-based architectures to modern, containerized deployments using Red Hat Open Shift and Kubernetes within hybrid cloud environments.
- Customization Delta Analysis & OOB Alignment: audit legacy TRIRIGA objects/workflows and extended business logic. perform delta analyses against the MREF source to eliminate technical debt, decommission bespoke code, and maximize Out‑of‑the‑Box (OOB) automated workflows and AI capabilities.
- Database Migration & Schema Governance: oversee data extraction, schema mapping, and validation from legacy DB2/Oracle/SQL databases to the MREF target repository. manage backend database cleanup, user registries migration, and data purging to ensure a smooth data cutover.
- Integration Framework Redesign (IoT & AI): redesign legacy integration endpoints to the Maximo Monitor framework. develop pathways to embed IoT telemetry and AI predictive models for space optimization and energy management.
- Dual-Environment Management & Release Control: govern configuration management, object migration packages, and stability across parallel environments. manage system freeze periods and staged incremental imports to mitigate risk and prevent workflow conflicts.
- Post-Migration Reporting & Compliance Validation: ensure data continuity and compliance. validate financial reporting engines (Cognos, BIRT, Power BI) and regulatory frameworks (ASC 842 / IFRS 16) are intact and audit-ready post-migration.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive IT architecture experience with a focus on enterprise IWMS deployments (IBM TRIRIGA).
- Proven Lead/Principal Architect experience on at least one major enterprise-scale software migration or platform modernization initiative.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Expert-level knowledge of IBM TRIRIGA application platform tools (Data Modeler, Workflow Builder, Form Wizard, State Action Family).
- Deep understanding of the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) and the architecture of the MREF platform.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Red Hat Open Shift and Kubernetes).
- Strong proficiency in enterprise databases (IBM DB2, Oracle, MS SQL Server) and complex ETL processes.
- Experience designing REST/SOAP APIs, OSLC integrations, and IoT/Smart Building telemetry.
- IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform Certified Application Developer / Architect
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Open Shift Administration / Architecture
- TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent Enterprise Architecture Certification
- PMP or Agile/Scrum certification is a plus
