Job Description
Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI), located in Arlington – Ballston (Northern Virginia), is looking for highly‑motivated and focused R&D students to help realize the CCI xG Testbed Vision on advanced wireless communication network and autonomous systems. The work will be conducted in the research group Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI), which is internationally renowned for its leading role in cybersecurity, intelligence and autonomous systems for time‑and‑mission‑critical industrial applications.
The employee will be part of CCI’s proficient and motivated xG Testbed research team, led by Dr. Aloizio DaSilva, and will support the following tasks:
- Supporting proof‑of‑concept development
- Administering laboratory inventory daily
- Configuring and deploying software and hardware
- Maintaining and developing new functionalities on the CCI xG Testbed webpage
- Experience with computer networking and wireless communication
- Experience with software development (C, C++, Java, Python, MATLAB, …)
- Junior or senior undergraduate student majoring in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Experience with signal propagation, 5G technologies (network virtualization, mobile edge computing, cloud computing), Internet of Things, radio communication, machine learning, and understanding of computer network.
