TACG is seeking a Senior Information Assurance Specialist to support the analysis, implementation, and management of security requirements for classified and unclassified systems. This position provides oversight, policy development, Risk Management Framework (RMF) support, and cybersecurity compliance expertise to ensure secure system operations and accreditation activities.
Responsibilities- Support the analysis, identification, and documentation of cybersecurity and Information Assurance requirements.
- Assist with implementation and management of security controls for classified and unclassified systems.
- Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and security authorization activities.
- Develop and maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO) documentation and supporting artifacts.
- Conduct security control assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
- Assist with cybersecurity policy, process, and procedure development.
- Support SIPR-related authorization packages and associated security documentation.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders to ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
- Review system configurations, vulnerabilities, and compliance status.
- Support continuous monitoring, audit readiness, and cybersecurity reporting efforts.
- Provide technical guidance regarding NIST SP 800‑53 Rev 5 security controls and compliance requirements.
- Security Clearance – Active Secret Clearance required.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Required Experience
- Hands‑on experience supporting DoD Information Systems and cybersecurity processes.
- Experience supporting SAF/AQXS and portfolio IA packages preferred.
- Experience supporting RMF controls and NIST SP 800‑53 Rev 5 implementation.
- Experience supporting SIPR Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages, including control testing and artifact management.
- Required Skill and Competencies
- Strong understanding of Information Assurance principles and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of RMF, NIST standards, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Work Location Requirements
- Must be able to travel onsite to the Pentagon one day per week.
- Must be able to travel to Fairfax, VA every other Friday for off‑site work activities.
$125,000 – $140,000 USD
