Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and execute API test cases using Postman
* Validate API requests and responses using JSON payloads and ensure data accuracy and consistency
* Develop and maintain automated API test scripts to improve test efficiency and coverage
* Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for APIs across multiple systems
* Identify, log, and track defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution
* Analyze API specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI) and translate them into test scenarios
* Ensure API performance, reliability, and security standards are met
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and business analysts
* Apply banking domain knowledge to validate business scenarios such as transactions, account processing, and customer data flows
* Support testing in environments involving multiple integrated systems and services
This role will require 60% onsite in the office in Vienna, VA.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 Years hands-on experience with Postman, including the ability to create, execute, and manage test collections
* Proven experience in API test automation (e.g., Postman scripting, Newman, or similar tools)
* Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and API authentication mechanisms
* Strong experience working with JSON and validating API request/response structures
* Experience in banking or financial services domain, with understanding of core banking processes and data flows
* Familiarity with API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong experience working with JSON and validating API request/response structures
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in an agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
