• Active TS/SCI clearance

• Ability to obtain DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) Suitability

• 10+ years of cybersecurity engineering or security architecture experience

• Expert knowledge of NIST 800 53, RMF, and FISMA

• Experience leading security controls assessments and authorization activities

• Strong background in risk management and control implementation

• Experience supporting security compliance in operational environments

• Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and principles

• Experience assessing emerging technologies, including AI/ML

• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Plusses

• Experience supporting CISA or federal cybersecurity programs

• Cloud security assessment and authorization experience

• Background assessing malware analysis or analytic platforms

• Knowledge of critical infrastructure security requirements

• Experience with continuous monitoring or automated compliance tools

• Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops  or security automation

• Penetration testing or vulnerability assessment background

• ITIL, PMP, DoD 8140 IAT Level III, CAP, or CRISC
Day to Day Responsibilities
Insight Global is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer III to join a client in the federal cybersecurity and government services industry supporting incident response and technology integration initiatives. This role leads security controls implementation and risk assessments for pilot and production technology integrations. Responsibilities include conducting security assessments, defining system boundaries, and ensuring compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP requirements. The engineer coordinates with RMF and security teams to support authorization and continuous monitoring activities.

This position ensures pilot environments maintain strong security posture and can safely scale into production. The role also develops security metrics, supports governance reviews, and documents controls and compliance evidence.
