Responsibilities
As a Network Solution Architect for the Army National Guard, you’ll lead zero‑trust initiatives focused on software‑defined networking (SDN), directly strengthening the resilience of military infrastructure and securing mission‑critical operations. In this role, you will implement innovative security measures, close vulnerabilities, and recommend strategies that protect classified data and fortify national defense.
You will guide a team of engineers to analyze and resolve complex network challenges, evaluate emerging technologies, and drive the adoption of advanced solutions using tools such as Cisco ACI, Cisco ISE, and Forescout. By applying zero‑trust principles, you’ll ensure that devices, applications, and users are authenticated and authorized before accessing sensitive systems, reducing risks and countering evolving cyber threats.
Required Qualifications- 8+ years of experience designing and implementing data‑centric solutions using Cisco ACI technology
- 8+ years of experience conducting network discovery, including analysis and documentation of system requirements
- Experience developing and executing test and implementation plans based on requirements
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non‑technical personnel, pay strict attention to detail, and multitask and prioritize
- TS/SCI clearance
- Security+ Certification
- Experience leading teams of technical staff in the design, build, and integration of IT solutions
- Experience supporting DoW Enterprise Networks
- Experience designing and implementing cloud‑native and OTT networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with firewall design and network security, including device hardening, intrusion detection systems, intrusion prevention systems, SIEM, firewalls, and IPSEC, vulnerability assessment, and intrusion detection
- Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls and F5 Load Balancers
- Experience with prior publications and speaking engagements in industry or vendor forums
- Knowledge of designing and delivering Cisco SD‑Access solutions
- Knowledge of implementing Cisco Trust Sec policies to enforce dynamic and scalable access control across enterprise networks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking

Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $112,800 to $257,000 (annualized USD). Compensation is determined by location, experience, and organizational requirements. The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
