The Public Sector Shared Services Operations Lead will serve as a strategic partner to the Director of Shared Services, providing analytical leadership and operational excellence across the centralized support functions that enable WWPS sales teams—including Greenfield Sales, Business Contracts and Proposals, Strategic Pursuits, and Capture.
Responsibilities- Partner with Shared Services leadership to develop long‑term operational strategies that align with WWPS business objectives.
- Serve as a thought partner to leadership on organizational design, resource allocation, and capability development.
- Work with local sales teams to lead the annual goals, budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes.
- Design, develop and maintain forecasting models, metrics, dashboards and analytic reports to drive business decisions across the Public Sector Business.
- Lead routine and ad‑hoc reporting to AWS senior management on business development initiatives, customer segment performance, and goal attainment, ensuring reports deliver actionable insights while minimizing report burden.
- Lead the modeling and development of recommendations for segment sizing, global allocations, and alignments.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of existing and emerging 3rd‑party data sources as needed for analytics.
- Drive cross‑functional collaboration with Data/BI, Finance, HR and other corporate teams to influence enterprise‑wide systems and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
- 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience.
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership.
- 7+ years of public sector business, public sector policy, government relations, or related fields experience.
- Knowledge of software development practices and data center/infrastructure/networking technologies.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
