Cybersecurity Action Officer
The OpportunityWhen our country's cybersecurity is on the line, simply reacting is not enough. We need a plan that protects the DoW's enterprise through strategic policy development. That plan is built by a Cybersecurity Action Officer who analyzes the policies that determine our cyber resilience.
ResponsibilitiesAs a cyber strategic planning and policy development specialist on our team, you will assess the DoW's current cyber policies, evaluate their coverage, and identify areas of risk. You will compare policies to regulations, best practices, and industry standards, guiding your client through acceptable risk and availability, and work on the development of a strategic cyber roadmap. You will help the client operate securely as they navigate an evolving IT environment.
Requirements- Experience with an enterprise task management system.
- Experience supporting and communicating with senior leaders.
- Experience developing briefings, talking points, and presentations for clients.
- Knowledge of the DoW and its components.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity policies and principles.
- Ability to track tasks and due dates and help keep a team on a delivery schedule.
- Ability to balance multiple work streams and work collaboratively across teams.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience working in a professional environment, or 9+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in the DoW CIO, OSD, or a Military Command.
- Experience serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
- Experience with the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS).
- Knowledge of cryptographic modernization or communications security (COMSEC).
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.
CompensationThe projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $ annualized USD, based on location, education, skills, and experience.
