IT Approval System Support Administrator

As an Information Technology Approval System (ITAS) Support Administrator, you’ll be at the center of how the Army equips its force for the future. You’ll bring discipline, insight, and technical fluency to the ITAS, a mission‑critical workflow that ensures Army technology investments align with Army CIO policy and deliver maximum impact.
Your work directly affects readiness, interoperability, and the speed at which the Army fields next‑generation capabilities. This is your chance to help shape how the Army evaluates and procures the technology of tomorrow.
- Own the ITAS workflow by reviewing, validating, and processing Army IT requests with analytical rigor and speed.
- Ensure policy alignment with AR 25‑1, CIO directives, and IT acquisition requirements.
- Coach and support requestors, helping states and mission partners build stronger, more complete packages.
- Identify documentation gaps and coordinate corrections to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
- Deliver timely submissions to the Army and stakeholders, enabling rapid, informed decision‑making.
- Maintain metrics and reporting that enhance transparency across the Army portfolio.
- Strengthen IT governance, bringing a quality‑driven mindset that increases efficiency and reduces cycle time.
- Experience with Army IT policy, acquisition workflows, or governance systems.
- Experience with enterprise systems such as CHESS, DoD ESI, or Army CIO processes.
- Ability to translate complex policy into actionable guidance.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cyber, Information Security, or Engineering and 4+ years of experience with IT governance, or 6+ years of experience with IT governance in lieu of a degree.
- Experience supporting Army staff, CIO, or service‑level governance systems.
- Experience in acquisition, portfolio management, or enterprise IT oversight.
- Possession of strong documentation, analysis, and communication skills.
- Security+, GSEC, SSCP, or similar certification.
Salary range: $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position and is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
