Data Quality Engineer
Leverage your expertise to shape and implement a comprehensive data quality strategy aligned with the organization's mission and enterprise governance in a cloud environment. You will define the target future state, develop monitoring and tracking mechanisms, and construct a strategic roadmap with clear milestones to guide the organization's transition to optimal data management.
Responsibilities- Create a long-term data quality strategy focused on enterprise governance.
- Define target future state for repeatable data quality practices.
- Construct a strategic roadmap with milestones for data management transition.
- Lead efforts to inventory the organization's data assets, identifying location and existence.
- Design and implement data quality procedures, including profiling scripts, anomaly detection models, field-level validation rules, lineage tracking checks, and completeness scoring mechanisms.
- Support governance policy development, stewardship standards, and access control frameworks, coordinating with platform engineers, cybersecurity officers, and mission analysts to keep metadata accurate, documentation complete, and catalog traceability intact.
- 5+ years of experience in data governance
- 3+ years of experience with data quality and policy
- 3+ years of experience with cloud technology such as AWS or Azure
- Experience working with government organizations
- Experience establishing and supporting data governance programs, including policies, standards, and processes
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements of the public sector
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- AWS Practitioner Certification (Nice)
- Experience with Alation Data Catalog
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) methodology or technologies
- Experience implementing zero-trust security architectures
- Knowledge of modern cybersecurity principles
- Ability to articulate complex data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Secret clearance is required.
Projected annualized salary range: $77,600.00 to $ (USD). Total compensation includes health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care. Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week are eligible for benefits.
