As a Strategy Technology Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping Raytheon's enterprise technology strategy by supporting initiatives that guide technology investments, digital transformation, and long-range capability development across the company. This role is well-suited for someone looking to deepen their expertise in technology strategy while also supporting essential operational processes that keep the organization running effectively.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, digital, product, and business unit teams to analyze technology trends, evaluate emerging capabilities, and support development of long-term roadmaps. Success in this role requires strong analytical rigor, a passion for technology and innovation, and the ability to translate complex technical insights into clear strategic recommendations.
This role will be on site in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do- Support development of enterprise technology strategies, roadmaps, and future-state capability assessments aligned to long-range objectives.
- Research emerging technologies, industry disruptors, and partnership opportunities.
- Contribute to strategic problem framing, hypothesis development, and structured analysis for technology initiatives.
- Conduct market sizing, forecasting, and adoption assessments across defense and dual-use sectors.
- Analyze U.S. and international defense technology investment trends, including RDT&E priorities.
- Evaluate competitive positioning and assess emerging tech players, startups, and adjacent industry entrants.
- Manage research tools, subscriptions, and external vendor/consultant engagements.
- Support team operations, content repositories, dashboards, and recurring technology trend reporting.
- Partner with Engineering, Digital Technology, Business Development, and Corporate Strategy to gather data and validate insights.
- Assist in workshops on technology prioritization, capability development, and enterprise architecture planning.
- Support facilitation and coordination of technology-driven strategic efforts.
- Develop clear, compelling presentations for senior leadership.
- Support creation of digital dashboards, visual frameworks, and analytic tools that communicate technology trends and progress.
- Distill complex technical findings into concise, executive-ready summaries.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 2+ years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 1+ year experience.
- Experience in a relevant field such as defense contracting, strategy, finance, supply chain, or project management.
- Demonstrated ability in data analysis, problem-solving, and presenting findings in a clear and structured manner.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage both strategic and administrative responsibilities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to create clear PowerPoint presentations and executive summaries.
