Facility Operations Center Engineer, ADC Infra Ops FOC

The Data Center Infrastructure Operations organization is looking for an individual with proven skills to help support our Facility Operations Center. The Facility Operations Center is responsible for 24×7 monitoring of the data center’s physical infrastructure, ensuring the customer experience remains optimal through consistency, reliability, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to, acknowledge, investigate, and dispatch critical alarms
- Monitor the facility infrastructure platform
- Perform change management tasks
- Create and issue tickets
- Follow verbal and written directions
- Apply an intermediate level of understanding of critical infrastructure
- Utilize proficient computer and communication skills
- Work required shift, overtime, and/or rotating schedules to support a 24×7 environment (including weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime shifts)
The Facility Operations Center (FOC) serves as the centralized 24/7 remote monitoring hub for AWS data center’s critical physical facilities infrastructure systems, supporting availability by promptly communicating accurate alarm and event notifications to internal teams.
About the TeamThe FOC is a singular support team that proactively monitors life‑safety systems and infrastructure equipment alarms (e.g., chillers, temperature sensors, generators, UPSs, switch gear, breakers, PDUs, and ATSs) that provide power and cooling to the platform 24×7×365. The FOC ensures safety across all AWS data centers by enforcing Change Management policies and serves as the communication hub during both standard and emergency operations.
SecurityClearance
The candidate must be a US Citizen and currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
Basic Qualifications- 2+ years of technical support experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- Experience documenting technical customer issues and 1+ year of customer‑facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- 3+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- 3+ years of customer service experience

The base salary range for this position is 37.00 – 65.00 USD hourly. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
