Overview
Leidos is currently seeking a Test Engineer to join our team in Arlington, VA. This position is fully on‑site. The Automation Tester will be part of a high‑impact program focused on building and maintaining automated testing frameworks for mission‑critical applications. You will develop and execute tests to ensure the quality and functionality of systems, document test results, and collaborate with development teams to resolve identified issues.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Execute automated test suites across multiple environments, developing comprehensive test plans.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand testing needs, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
- Design and implement testing strategies and methodologies for web applications.
- Develop, document, and maintain functional, integration, security, and load/stress testing procedures.
- Identify, analyze, and report defects and issues promptly, working with the development team to resolve them.
- Document and deliver approaches for automated acceptance testing and integration/regression testing for new applications and capabilities.
- Develop and maintain automated scripts in Selenium (Web, Desktop, Mobile, API, and Database) and implement scenarios using Java, Selenium, and Selenium Web Driver.
- Integrate automation scripts into the CI/CD cloud pipeline using tools such as Bitbucket, Git Lab, or other approved DISA tools.
- Enhance automation frameworks and collaborate on optimizing pipeline efficiency while adhering to best practices.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Drive test automation best practices across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 4+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, and Cucumber.
- Strong knowledge of networking and operating systems.
- Experience working in a high op‑temp, top‑secret environment.
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Proficiency in conducting end‑to‑end testing of large or complex information systems.
- Knowledge of test engineering methodology.
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.
- Active DOD TS/SCI clearance (CI Poly may be required in the future).
- Prior experience with DISA and DISA’s support to mission partners.
Pay Range: $73,450.00 – $. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, market data, and applicable agreements.
