As a Senior Solutions Architect within the AWS WWPS Partner team, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of AWS services—including IoT, high‑performance computing (HPC), advanced analytics, and AI/ML—directly with our ecosystem of systems integrators, consulting and technology partners. You will serve as a dedicated technical resource for a high‑growth autonomous maritime defense partner, leading strategic engagement at the executive level with minimal oversight.

Your broad responsibilities will include owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures across compute, data, machine learning, and operational tooling; responding to RFPs; developing deep expertise in AWS technologies as well as broad know‑how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform; and being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.

You will drive architectural decisions across multiple concurrent work streams and ensure AWS is positioned as the strategic infrastructure partner of choice during critical scaling periods. This role requires the ability to operate independently, communicate credibly with both technical and executive stakeholders, and maintain momentum across complex, multi‑domain engagements.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen. This position may require up to 30% travel.

• Lead technical strategy and architecture for a rapidly scaling defense‑sector partner with significant infrastructure investment
• Own end‑to‑end solution architecture spanning compute, data, ML, and supply chain operational tooling
• Operate as a trusted advisor at the executive level, translating business objectives into AWS‑native architectures
• Provide thought leadership and capture best‑practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community
• Collaborate with world‑class sales and business development teams to drive partner success

• 8+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience managing relationships with SAP customers and partners
• Experience with IoT, HPC, AI/ML workloads, data engineering pipelines, and operational tooling on AWS
• U.S. Navy Operations or Logistics background, or equivalent military experience in mission‑critical systems
• Hands‑on experience managing complex multi‑node supply chains with zero tolerance for failure
